Born in Toronto on May 7, 1926.
Passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at the age of 91, at Brampton Civic Hospital from complications of Lewy Body Disease with Parkinson’s. Predeceased by her loving husband, Louis Gadsby Watson (1999), her parents Laurence and Annie Binns (nee: Chadwick), her brother Stanley, her sister Audrey Douglas and her great-grandson Troy Scott. Joyce will be sadly missed by her children: Heather Prosser (Vernon), Kathy Masson (Richard) and Gordon (Bonnie). Loving grandmother to Julie Scott (Steve), Christine Masson, Debra Lamers (Randy), Valerie Leko (Richard), Sarah Watson (Dennis), Victoria Masson (Sergei) and Jennifer Stabellini (Chris). Proud great-grandmother to Troy and Kristen Scott, Lauren and Eryn Lamers, Alexander Masson, Dylan McCormick, Nicholas Sergeew and Faith Leko.
Mom enjoyed spending her time watching the Blue Jays, doing syllacrostics and carpet bowling with Dad. Her family was her life and she showed it in so many ways during her life.
Celebration of Joyce’s life will be held at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home Scarborough Chapel, 2900 Kingston Rd. (just east of St. Clair Ave. E.) on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Service at 3 p.m. followed by a reception.
Donations to Parkinson Canada would be welcome, in lieu of flowers.
