Sulentic – Josip (Joe)
It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father.
Born March 6, 1935 in Sveti Rok, Lika, Croatia, he went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2018. Joso or Joe as he was known as, was a kind, happy, hard working, warm-hearted person with a great sense of humour who was loved by all who knew him. His faith in God shone through him and he was always there for many people when they needed him. He will be greatly missed.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Katica. He is survived by his children, Mike (Yvonne), John (Lisa) and Mary-Ann (David), grandchildren Riley (Marlee), Michael, Daniel, Kate-Lynn, Matthew, his brother John and sister Mande as well as nieces, nephews, in-laws and relatives here and overseas.
We wish to thank the staff at Carlton Gardens – Bamfield and Dr. John Rideout and his staff for all their support and kind care.
Prayers and Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at The Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Parish.
Entombment will take place at the South Mausoleum – North Wing, Ocean View Burial Park 4000 Imperial St. Burnaby, following the Funeral Mass.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe’s honour may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Catholic Parish or the Parkinson Society British Columbia.
