Obituary of Joseph Weir
It is with loving thoughts and lasting memories that we announce the passing of Joe Weir on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 98. Loving husband and best friend for 68 years of Lois (Bennett). Dear father of Bill Weir (Jackie Delong). Devoted grandfather of Adam Weir (Paola DiMaddalena), and Audra Weir (Chad Richards); and great-grandchildren Bryce, Carter, and Samantha. Also remembered by many extended family and friends. Joe was a proud WWII air force veteran. He was one of the many brave soldiers who participate in D Day (D + 6) on Juno Beach in 1944. He served six years in various countries including: Belgium, France, Holland and England. Joe and his wife Lois were lifelong residents of Dunnville. A funeral service will be held at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, 315 Broad St. E., Dunnville on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 11 a.m. (with visitation one hour prior to service from 10 – 11 a.m.) Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Dunnville. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to Grace United Church or a charity of your choice.
