Obituary of Josephine Daamen
DAAMEN (Sherwood) Josephine Patricia – Surrounded by her loving family, Pat Daamen died at Bluewater Health on Monday, January 1, 2018 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of the late Albert « Abby » Daamen. Loving mother and best friend of Lisa Daamen (Craig Noseworthy), Dan, Brian (Danielle), and Jason (Katherine) Daamen. Loving Grandma, playmate and angel on earth to Rachael, Ryanne & Maddisyn Fisher, Dutton and Adam, Avery, Tory, Trent, Maeve and Kael Daamen and Abigail, James and Tristan Daamen. Sister of Gerry Sherwood (Kami), Kathy Butler, Florence Sherwood and Michael Sherwood. Sister-in-law of Jackie Sherwood, Pete Daamen, Harry Daamen (Ruth), Sister Corrie, C.S.J, John Daamen (Gayle), Henry Daamen (Michelle), Chris Boekema (Tony), Dorothy Houston (Tom), Anne Johnson (Lorne) and Tom Daamen (Claudette). Special and deeply loved aunt and great-aunt to several nieces and nephews. Pat will also be missed by her many friends whom she cherished so much. Predeceased by parents Gerald & Josephine Sherwood, brother Leonard Sherwood, sister Margaret Sherwood, brothers-in-law Merve Butler and Joe Daamen and sisters-in-law Rita and Joanne Daamen. Pat was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Franciscan Order. Friends will be received at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431. N. Christina St., Sarnia on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Benedict’s Church on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
