Josephat N. Vautour
1932-2018
ST. IGNACE, NB – Josephat Vautour, 85,
originally of St. Ignace, passed away at the Villa Providence in
Shediac on May 15, 2018. Born in St. Ignace, he was a son of the late
Joseph and Leonie (Gallant) Vautour. Josephat enjoyed his family along
with the outdoors and had a real love for horses. He worked for most
of his life in Oshawa, ON as a boss/manager at Automatic Car
Wash.
Josephat is survived by his loving wife, Rose-Marie
(Rosa) Vautour; his son, Normand Vautour (Fernande) of Rogersville;
his sister Nelda Cormier of Aldouane; his brother Tilmon Vautour
(Kathy) of Oshawa, ON; his grandchild Michelle, his two great
grandchildren Benjamin and Bianca along with several nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Josephat was predeceased by an
infant daughter Joanne Vautour, his sisters Marguerite, Lucie,
Bernadette, Ernestine and Anna as well as his brothers, Eloi,
Chalemain, Dolphée and Leonard.
The family would like to express their thanks to the
Villa Providence in Shediac for their great
care.
Arrangements have been
entrusted to Thompson’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be
held on Monday, May 21st from 2-4 & 7-9 pm as
well as 9:00 am until departure for the funeral the following day at
Thompsons Memorial Home in St. Louis. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Tuesday, May 22nd at 11:00 am at the St. Ignace
de Loyola Roman Catholic Church, St.
Ignace.
If so desired, donations may be made to the NB Heart
and Stroke Foundation or charity of the donor’s
choice.
