A resident of Chatham, Joseph Briand passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in his 71st year.
Born in Nova Scotia, Joseph was the son of the late Mary (nee Peters) & Hilare Briand.
Beloved husband of Beverlee (nee Leach) for 28 years.
Step-father of the late Colette Griffore (2000).
Brother of Ernie (Shirley), Joanie (Norm), Simon, Albert (Doreen), Hillary & Betty.
Predeceased by brother, Richard & sisters Diane & Marie.
Missed by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews & good friend, Joe Ball.
Joseph played in the band Scarecrow for over 33 years, traveling all over Canada to play music. He enjoyed watching old movies, playing pool and enjoying a coffee at Tim Hortons with his friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Meadow Park for their care & compassion towards Joseph.
Cremation has taken place with a private family celebration to be held.
Donations in memory of Joseph may be made to the Friends of the New Animal Shelter (cheques payable to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent).
