Joseph William Tremblett Sr.
1923-2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Joseph Tremblett Sr., announce his passing in Grand Falls-Windsor, on May 12, 2018. Joe was 95 years of age and enjoyed every minute of every year. Predeceased by his parents William and Mary-Ellen, his wife Deborah, his son Gary (Gus), his grandson Dougie and his great-grandson Joshua. Leaving to mourn with many great memories are his children: Mary, Bonnie (Harold), Carm (Dennis), Debbie (Glen), Joe (Patsy), Linus (Jo-Ann), Brian (Michelle), and Glenn (Lisa). Also leaving to mourn are his 15 Grandchildren, 17 Great Grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Joe was known as an outstanding volunteer with his Church, The Canadian Diabetes Association, The Salvation Army Kettle Campaign, The Cemetery Committee, and especially the Knights of Columbus. For years, Joe could be seen directing traffic in front of the Church, a volunteer act he took very seriously. As well, he spent countless hours in the graveyard taking care of many details. It was often said that one couldn’t get in the grave until Joe gave the ok.
Family was very important to Joe and he made sure that each of his nine children was loved and cared for as best he could. His grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of his life. His eyes would light up on family gatherings when his house was full of family. Also know as a man of many recitations, Joe loved the opportunity to perform a rendition of « The Dogs » or « The Night Before Christmas ». A kind man in every sense of the word, Joe would never hesitate to give whatever was needed to those who needed anything. He also would kindly bring candy to the girls at the grocery stores and the bank. He will be fondly remembered for his genuine personality and his bright smile. He will be dearly missed and loved by all.
