The death of Joseph Thomas “Tom” Metallic, husband of the late Barbara (Barnaby) Metallic of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the age of 83. Born in Esgenoôpetitj, NB, Tom was the son of the late Issac and Lucy (Morrison) Metallic.
Tom was retired as a Director of Health.
Tom is survived by six daughters: Pauline Tucker (Paul), Sheila Somerville (Allister), Sharon Francis (Norman), Keetha Metallic, Marlene Metallic and Thelma Augustine (Troy); five sons: Calvin Barnaby (Lorraine), Darrell Metallic, Lindsay Metallic , Randell Metallic and Vernon Mitchell (Bernadette) all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, one sister: Josephine Schneider of Indiana, one brother: Moses Metallic (Emily Joe) Esgenoôpetitj, NB, 30 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tom is predeceased by six sisters: Jeanette, Virginia, Mary, Philomene, Irene and Elizabeth and one brother: Samuel.
Tom will be resting at his residence, 531 Bayview Drive, Esgenoôpetitj, NB after 2 PM on Saturday and again on Sunday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11 AM with Father Anthony Papu officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Roman Catholic Cemetery.
