EDER, Joe – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Joe Eder at the Algoma Residential Community Hospice on Saturday, May 12, 2018 after a valiant battle with cancer with his family by his side just shy of his 60th birthday. Born on May 26th, 1958 in Sioux Lookout Ontario. Beloved best friend, husband and soulmate of Sharon. Loving and devoted father of Sarah (Justin Michel) and Ben (Natasha). Predeceased by his parents Joe and Charlotte Eder and brother Jan Wypych (Mary). Survived by sisters Kristine Swain and Regina Krezek (Rodney) and brothers George (Suzanne), Peter (Rhonda), Roland (Dana) and Denny (Connie). Son-in-law of Ginna and late Gunnar Pedersen. Brother-in-law of Susan Switzer (Terry) and Ted Pedersen (Micky). Favourite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered by friends and coworkers alike for his passion for anything mechanical and his ability to share his talents and knowledge with those around him. Not realizing that life was not a race, with a smile on his face and a glint in his eyes, Joe crossed the finish line ahead of us all. Affectionately known as Superman, he’ll always remain a superhero in the hearts of all he touched. In keeping with Joe’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
