Obituary of John Haffie
Entered into rest at Broadview Nursing Home on Saturday December 8th, 2018 at the age of 94. Beloved husband for 71 years to Doreen Haffie (nee Lappan). Dear father of Rose Michie (Bob), Larry Haffie (Chris). Cherished grandfather of Roger (Karla), Mark (Kelly), Sarah, Anne (Shawn). Treasured great grandfather Josh, Matt and Ava. He is predeceased by his son Roger Haffie, as well as his siblings Dorothy, Glenn, Ai, Audrey and Doreen. John is a World War II Veteran in the Merchant Navy. He was an avid outdoors man, he loved spending time at the cottage that has been in his family for generations.
Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 1033 Prince St, Lansdowne on Tuesday December 11, 2018 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel on Wednesday December 12th, 2018 at 11a.m. Interment at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada and the Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds and Grenville will be gratefully acknowledged.
