John Panasiuk passed away peacefully, Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Vita Personal Care Home, Vita, MB, at the age of 90 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his many cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his sister Elsie in 2001 and parents Peter and Mary Panasiuk.
John was born on November 17, 1927 in Vita, MB and was raised in Zhoda, MB. Later in life he lived in Steinbach, MB. For much of his life John worked hard farming on the family farm. He enjoyed being outdoors, picking mushrooms and berries and later in life, participating in flea markets and garage sales with his sister. He enjoyed the company of his friends and family gathered around the table to play a game of cards or crib. John will be remembered for his hearty laugh and willingness to help anyone in need.
Prayers will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel. Interment at Zhoda Community Cemetery, Zhoda, MB.
