John Nelson LeFrense

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late John Nelson LeFrense announces his passing at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre in Port aux Basques, NL on Friday, September 21st, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Born in Isle aux Morts, NL. John was the son of the late John Alexander and Elizabeth Jane LeFrense (nee Lillington). He was also predeceased by his wife Edna Emily LeFrense (nee Green); brothers Wendell LeFrense, Clayton LeFrense; sisters Sue (George) Crane, Barbara Crane; brothers-in-law Jim Dennis, Freeman (Dulcie) Green, Garfield (Effie May) Green, Hector (Dulcie) Best, Ed Warford; sisters-in-law Leah (Enoch) Prosser, Annie (Freeman) LaFosse, Rita (Alexander) Durnford, and Julia (Lloyd) Strickland.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his loving children Kathy LeFrense (George Harvey) of Burlington, Ont, Paul (Cathy) LeFrense of Hamilton, Ont, Tracy (Glen) Billard of Burlington, Ont, Steve (Tina) LeFrense of Isle aux Morts, NL, Debbie (Jeff) Luckiw of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Vonda (Chris) Chaulk, David Harvey, Kristen LeFrense, Janell Billard, Samantha LeFrense, Emma Luckiw, Matthew LeFrense, Megan Luckiw; great-grandson Luke Chaulk; brothers Randolf (Starla) LeFrense of Sydney Mines, NS, Abbott (Ann) LeFrense of Isle aux Morts, NL; sisters Una (Tom) Seymour of Isle aux Morts, NL, Doris May Dennis of North Sydney, NS, Betty (Charlie) Bennett of Port aux Basques, NL, Mary Ann (Frank) Durnford of Isle aux Morts, NL; brother-in-law Woodrow (Linda) Green of Port aux Basques, NL and sister-in-law Margaret Warford, plus a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 from 7-9 pm continuing on Monday, September 24th, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 at the Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle aux Morts, NL from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 26th, 2018 at 11 am officiated by The Rev. Eddie Coleman assisted by Deacon John Billard with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts Road. Flowers are graciously accepted or donations in John’s memory can be made to the Holy Spirit Anglican Church or The Good Samaritan Seniors Club, Isle aux Morts.
