OBITUARY
John Morrison
August 3, 1926 – November 22, 2018
Passed away at the Veteran’s Unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at the age of 92, Mr. John Morrison of Dawsonville, husband of Joyce (Craswell) Morrison.
John was born in Dawsonville on August 3, 1926, son of William Morrison and Jemima (Hennigar) Morrison.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce. His children: David (Evelyn) of Thunder Bay, ON, Sharon of Camrose, AB, Carol (Angus) of Glen Levit, NB, Billy of Thunder Bay, ON, Charlene (Drew) of Carbondale, CO, and Cathy of Dawsonville, NB. His grandchildren: Kris (Laurie), Dusty, Ryan (Nicole), Kyle, Melissa (Jamey), Jennifer, Kerry, Angela (Jason), David, Hannah, Josie and Logan. His great-grandchildren: Brynn, Brody, Madison and Jenna. His brother George (Arlene) of Dawsonville, NB, Carrie Lyons and Emma (Bert) Cole of Agincourt, ON, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Ann (Ken) Thurston, and nephew Blaine Thurston.
Funeral Service to be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St, Campbellton, Monday at 4:30 pm with visitation Sunday evening from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday at the Chapel from 2:00 pm until time of funeral .
Legion members of Campbellton branch # 19 and all members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to meet at Maher’s Funeral Home on Sunday evening at 7:30pm for Legion Service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Dawsonville Cemetery Memorial Fund.
Pallbearers are his grandsons: Kris, Dusty, Ryan and Kyle O’Connell and David Morrison Jr and Logan Morrison. Honorary Pallbearers are his granddaughters: Melissa, Jennifer and Kerry Smith, Hannah and Josie Horn, and Angela Wittig.
