It is with the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather-John A. Jones after a year long battle with lung cancer and most recently congestive heart failure. Loving husband of 50 years to Jo-Anne (nee Deslippe). Cherished father to Jodi (Dwayne) Mallat and son John. Dear Papa to Sarah, John Jr., Ravyn, and Kaleigh. Beloved brother-in-law to Patricia (Mike) Drouin, Barry Deslippe. Predeceased by Reg (Jean) Deslippe and Timothy Deslippe. Wonderful Uncle to his nieces and nephews and close to our hearts, long time family member, Laura Jones. John will now make his journey to reunite with his parents John and Marie Jones and his in-laws Pearl and Milton Deslippe. John will always be remembered not only as a Teacher but as a mentor and friend to many colleagues and students whose lives he touched through music. Above all, his commitment, dedication and unwavering love was always to his family. Donations to the Miracle League of Amherstburg, which John supported faithfully, would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place.
