It is with deep sadness that we, the family,
announce the passing of John Knox Gregor, on Thursday, March 29, 2018,
at his residence.
Born in New Waterford, N.S., he was the son of
the late Harry and Hazel (Knox)
Gregor.
John spent his whole career with the Canadian
Armed Forces and then worked as a Heavy Equipment Instructor with
Commercial Safety College in Debert NS for a few years before retiring
permanently. He was also a skilled carpenter and built
several pieces of furniture or refinished them. He
was a member of Bethel United Church, Marion
Bridge.
John is survived by his wife, Ellen; daughters,
Noelle Gregor, Calgary, Mary Ann Saumier, Mississauga, Ont.; son,
Andre Saumier, Ottawa; sister, Jean Hennan, Bridgewater NS; brother,
George Gregor, Richmond, BC; grandchildren, Robert, Matthew, Jocelyn,
Logan, Alex, Megan, and Liam. John is survived by many nieces and
nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Harvey Gregor, a
son, Stephen Gregor and step-mother, Margaret (Howatson)
Gregor.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 7,
2018, in Bethel United Church at 11a.m., with Nancy Whitney-Latham,
DLM officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
No flowers or visitations, donation may be made
to a charity of your
choice.
