BRUNKE; John Frederick Clare ~ Passed away in his 77th year after a courageous battle with cancer and recently having multiple strokes at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on Tuesday, November 13th, 2018. John was the beloved partner and husband of Jeanette for nearly 40 years. Proud father of Brandon (Callah), Darren (John) and Ryan (Cassie). Cherished Opa to Brody.
John retired in 2005 after a lengthy career working in the pneumatics and hydraulics field of the tool and die industry. He also had a couple of side careers, first as a DJ, then a videographer. He was a computer nerd too, but his big passion in life was photography. He loved people and loved to ‘preserve the moment’ as he always said.
John was a handyman and could fix anything. He built a small teardrop trailer and spent recent summers camping in Presquile, the park he enjoyed most. He was an undeniable dog lover, as proven by the pleasure he took in his three little dachshund babies, Snoopy, Heidi and Blue.
John was a good father, a caring husband and a friend to all. He is missed.
Cremation has taken place and as per John’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. A private family interment will take place next summer. In John’s memory, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by his family. Online condolences or donations may be made at www.fallis-shields.com
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de John Frederick Clare Brunke 2018.
