It is with much sadness that the family of John Webb announce his passing on September 22, 2018 in his 78th year. Born in Oakville on December 19, 1940 he is predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Audrey Webb (Turner) and his brother Keith Webb. He also leaves behind two sisters, Wendy Janisse (Ken) and Susan Eskelin (Al).
Husband to Sharleen for 53 years, father of Peter and Andrew (Rachel) and proud Papa to his granddaughter, Vivian, who provided him with hours of happy fun and laughter.
John was the owner of CD&L. It was one of the first landscaping companies in Oakville that provided year round services to many businesses in the community.
He and his family enjoyed 40 plus years of wonderful summers in Muskoka and he loved the process of building the family cottage and helping others to build their summer homes.
John lived a full life and always enjoyed the company of his many friends and the fun that they all had together. John was usually the “life of the party” and kept everyone laughing at his silly jokes and crazy antics.
The family would like to thank the Oakville Fire Department, the Oakville Police Department and the EMT services for their care and kindness at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Alzheimer’s Organization of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Visitation will take place on Saturday September 29, 2018, 2-3 pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street). Service of remembrance to take place at 3:00 p.m.
