Obituary for Johannes « John » Bartelomeus Al
Johannes “John” Bartelomeus Al, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Sunday, July 1, 2018 in his 87th year.
Beloved husband of the late Lenore Al (nee Yaeck). Dear father of Steven (Beverley) and John (Marge) and father-in-law of Stacey. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Sarah (Colin), Jennifer, Timothy (Shauna), Michael, Courtney (Cody), Mindy (Tim), Jason (Kristen), Andrew, Claire (Joe) and William and by his many great-grandchildren. John will be missed by his sisters and brothers, Tiny Wessels, Helen (John) Ryan, Bart Al, Hank (Cheryl) Al, Joe (Jaquie) Al and Tony (Vera) Al and sisters-in-law Marg Al and Caroline Stepanick.
John was predeceased by his son Robert; grandson Andrew Scott Al, sisters and brothers Corrie (Gerry) Duynisveld, Kees (Corrie) Al, Chris Al, Anna (Jerome) Dietrich, Nick (Elaine) Al, Peter Al and Leo Al; brother-in-law Anton Wessels and parents Cornelius and Helena Al.
John’s family will receive relatives and friends for a casual visitation on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton (1106 Yonge Street).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m at Sacred Heart Church, Walkerton (221 Victoria Street). Fr. Les Szcyzgiel officiating.
Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
