It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 44 years.
Cherished daughter of Rita Shirley of Iroquois Falls and the Late Garth Shirley. Beloved sister of Michael Shirley of Iroquois Falls and loving aunt of Dustin Fournier of Timmins. She will be forever in the heart of her grandmother Gwyneth Shirley. Joanne is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, her kitties Mango and Peaches as well as her extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Garth Shirley, and her grandparents; Louis and Marie Blais and John Shirley.
Family and friends may call at Abitibi Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society and would be appreciated by the family.
