Joan MacDonald (Worton)
Peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the the age of 77 years. Joan was born December 17, 1940 in Cradley Heath, UK. Predeceased by parents Arthur and Beatrice Worton and husband Brian Scorthorne and husband C. Thomas Macdonald. She will be greatly missed by daughter Margaret Scorthorne-Brons (John) , and step-children Debbie Vogels, Carol Shmygol (Mark) and her
grandchildren Shannon, Cara, Elise, Scout, and Bill. She will be remembered by many friends and former students. Immigrated to Canada from England in 1967. A graduate of Leeds University UK and York University Ontario. Retired ESL teacher and former Regional Planner for Sudbury, Ontario.
Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Avenue (at Richmond Road), Ottawa on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 5 – 8p.m. and on Tuesday, December 18 at City View United Church, 6 Epworth Ave., Ottawa from 1 – 2p.m. Memorial Service in City View United Church at 2:00p.m.
