Passed peacefully away at the Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Friday, December 7, 2018, Joan Gilbert of Victoria, age 78 years. Predeceased by husband: Cal; parents: Harry and Agnes Hunt; brother: Harry Hunt; brother-in-law: Gerald Cain; niece: Debbie London; great-niece: Katie Youngberg. Leaving to mourn, daughter: Krista Gilbert, Upper Island Cove; son: Cally (Tina), St. Albert, AB; two step-grandchildren: Whitney and Lexi; one brother: Bernie (Sharon) Hunt, Torbay; three sisters: Eileen (Randy) Crocker, Paradise, Betty Cain, Riverhead, Hr. Grace, and Madonna (John) Kavanagh, CBS; sister-in-law: Alice Hunt, Riverhead, Hr. Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Sunday, 2:30 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, December 11 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Riverhead, Harbour Grace. Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Grace. As an expression of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to St. Joseph’s R.C.
