Joan Rhoda Carr
1935-2018
Joan Carr of Salisbury passed away on Wednesday, July 25,
2018 at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital. Born in
Parkindale, NB she was the daughter of the late Claude and Gertrude
(Colpitts) Beaman. Joan was a school teacher who taught in Boiestown
and Bathurst before retiring in 1989. She loved sports,
being a High School Basketball Coach in her early years, was an avid
bowler being a member of the Salisbury Ladies League and the Battle of
the es Tournament at the Parklane Bowling Centre in Riverview and a
huge fan of Hockey Night in Canada cheering on the Toronto Maple
Leafs.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Vicki Carr-Babineau
and son-in-law Cory of Moncton; her cherished grandchildren Taylor and
Colby; special friend Boyd Price, sister Joyce Colpitts (Howe) of
Synton; brothers Dale Beaman of Salisbury and Doug Beaman (Dawn) of
Roachville, as well as several loving nieces and nephews. Besides her
parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband Vincent (Cork) after 42
years of marriage, mother in law Elaine Carr, father in law Richard
(Dick) Carr, brother in law Max Carr, sister in law Joanne
Doucette.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.,
Riverview (869-20074) on Saturday from 11:30am until the time of the
funeral service at 1:00pm with Rev. Carol Mullen officiating. The
interment will take place in the United Church Cemetery in Boiestown,
NB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joan’s
memory to the Greater Moncton SPCA or the War Amps. Online condolences
