Joan McCarthy
1951-2018
At the Grand Falls General Hospital, May 28, 2018, Mrs. Joan
McCarthy of Grand Falls Portage passed away at the age of 66
years. She was the widow of Archie McCarthy. Born
at Chatham, NB, in 1951, she was a daughter of the late Walter and
Rita (Boudreau) Scott.
She is survived by three children, Nathan (Rhonda) of
California Settlement, Sara Levesque (Mark) of Centreville and Ryan
(Stacey) of Woodstock, four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Sadie, Patrick
and Emry, sister Shirley Scott of Nanaimo, BC, brothers, Tom (Judy) of
Loggieville, NB, Albert (Nancy) of Beresford, NB and
Bruce (Helen) of Newcastle, NB, Scott sisters-in-law and
brothers-in-law, Dianne Scott, Melvin Ripley, McCarthy in-laws, Keith
(Mary), Emily Quinn (late Bernie), Patricia Paul (Wayne), Judy Pierce
(Charles), Jimmy (Patricia), Calvin (Barbara), Christopher (Terry),
Helena (late Joyner), Ginette (late Mayvard), Jim Bear (late Pauline)
and Sharon. She was predeceased by sister Mary Ripley,
brother Edward Scott, brothers-in-law, Bert Forget, Bernard, Joyner,
Mayvard and Larry McCarthy, sister-in-law, Pauline
Bear.
Resting at O’Regan’s Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd.,
Grand Falls with visiting hours on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9
p.m.
Her funeral service will be held Thursday, May 31st at 4 p.m.
from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls Portage with
interment in the adjoining cemetery.
