At Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Mrs. Joan Lavina (Thomas) van Vliet of Listowel, in her 82nd year. Wife of the late Jan van Vliet. Mother of Shelley and Lawrence Miller of Listowel, Duane Edgar of Red Deer AB, John and Dee van Vleit of Brussels, Debbie and Frank Claessens of Campbellville, Janis and Yolie McCooey of Fort Erie, and Joyanne and Duane Derreck of St Catherines. Remembered by 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Verna (nee Dennis) Thomas, brother Charlie Thomas and sisters Ruth Durst, Mary Thomas and Joyce van Vliet.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2-3 pm . Funeral service will be held at Eaton Funeral Home on Monday at 3:00 pm. Interment in Brussels Cemetery, Brussels, Ontario.
