Joan Patricia Garrod, age 92, of Stratford passed away peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on June 12, 2018.
Born in Stratford, May 21, 1926, daughter of the late Arthur and Georgina (Percy) Garrod. Joan worked at British Mortgage and Trust, Victoria and Grey and National Trust until her retirement. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church and the ACW and a member of St. John’s Ambulance. Joan is survived by her nieces and nephew Edward Gingras (Maxine – deceased), Jane Meriano (Tony), Marguerite Dack (Michael), Jill Sanderson and Susan Hellyer (Cyril). Also survived by by several great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Clarice Garrod. Besides her parents she was predeceased by sisters and brother Irene Gingras (William Arthur), Arthur Garrod and Iris Garrod.
Friends and relatives may call at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Saturday, June 16, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon with a reception to follow.
