Joan Elizabeth Corbett

CORBETT, Joan Elizabeth age 80 years of Dartmouth passed away peacefully on July 17, 2018, after a lengthy illness. She was a daughter of the late William and Lillian Houlihan. Joan grew up in Halifax and was among the first graduating class at St. Pat’s High School on Quinpool Road. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Burke, daughter Colleen, sons Jeffrey and Neal (Leanne), grandchildren Grace and Simon, sisters Kathleen and Janet, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters Margaret, Muriel and Brenda, brothers John, Fred and Jim. Joan loved spending time with family and friends and always answered in kindness to those in need, whether it was food, clothing or words of advice. She will be missed by all who loved her. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Team and the staff of 4-East, Dartmouth General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Funeral will take place at St. Thomas Moore Roman Catholic Church, (corner Caledonia and Main Street, Dartmouth) on Tuesday July 24 at 11:00 a.m. Family flowers only , donations may be made to Chalice.
