Obituary of Jim Scully
James (Jim) Scully died peacefully at PRHC in the Palliative Care Unit on December 23, 2018 at the age of 90. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Marlene Charlotte (Land). Father to Michelle “Shelly” Staves (Bill), Sean and Heather. Grandfather to Cody, Brady, Leah and Dylan. Brother to Betty Hancock (Late husband Lloyd). Predeceased by his parents William and Helen Scully and siblings Herb, Marion (Ralph) Eastabrook and Yvonne (Bob) James. Jim will be missed by his beloved pets Bella, Mel and Lilly. Jim was a member of Peterborough and District Woodcarvers Association, St. Luke’s Church and was an employee of General Electric for 43 years.
Friends will be received at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME 840 Armour Road, Peterborough on Saturday, January 5th for a memorial service in the chapel at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. If desired, donations to the Humane Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
