Jillian Elizabeth Hallihan 1988 – 2018
Jillian Elizabeth Halliahan loving companion of Mathieu Theriault of Miramichi, NB passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday January 27th at the age of 29.
Born in Newcastle, NB. She is the daughter of Murdock and Rosemary (Hennessy) Hallihan.
Jillian was employed with KRT Homecare. She volunteered as a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jillian had a love of music and enjoyed singing at various musical events throughout the Miramichi.
Besides her parents, Murdock and Rosemary and loving companion Mathieu, Jillian is survived by one step daughter: Tory of Moncton, NB; three sisters: Amanda Sullivan (Murray), Maureen Tucker (Darryl), and Vaunda Manderville (Conrad) all of Barnettville, NB; one brother: Jason Sturgeon (Karen) of Tracy, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by one brother: Jamie Sturgeon; nephew: John Manderville; Maternal Grandparents: John and Lillian Hennessy and Paternal Grandparents: Joseph and Mary Hallihan.
Jillian will be resting at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway with visitation on Wednesday, January 31st from 7-9 PM and on Thursday, February 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 2nd at 11 AM from St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Nelson, NB with Father John Keoughan officiating. Burial will be in the Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Cemetery, Barnaby, NB later in the spring.
In Jillian’s memory, donations may be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters Miramichi, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
