Obituary of Jean Courchesne
COURCHESNE – Jean Paul (John)
November 30, 1937 – December 25, 2018
John died peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre surrounded by his family on December 25th, 2018 at the age of 81.
John is survived by his wife Georgette of 61 years, daughters Suzan Dalyk (Nick) of Kitchener, Jocelyne King (Mark) of North Bay and Sylvie Venditti (Tony) also of North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Stacey (Rick), Eric, Alexandra and Ryan as well as his great-granddaughter Jordan.
John grew up in Sturgeon Falls the youngest of 6 children. He was predeceased by his parents Edmond and Desneiges (Legault) Courchesne and he leaves behind his brother Henri Courchesne (Georgette). John was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to everyone.
John loved sports and grew up playing hockey in Sturgeon Falls where he was known to his friends as “Little Spruce.” The Montreal Canadiens and Toronto blue Jays have lost a devoted fan.
John worked as a Service Representative for International Harvester before becoming the General Manager of Bestway Truck Centre in North Bay.

Respecting John’s wishes his body has been cremated. Friends are invited to share their memories with his family at Martyn Funeral on Friday evening January 4, 2019 from 7 – 8 pm.
