Obituary of Jean Hawkins
Hawkins, Jean Eva (Maure) (nee Wood)
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness we announce the passing of Jean at the C-K Hospice on this 29th day of November at the age of 77.
She has been welcomed home by parents William and Florence Wood, infant brother Gerard along with husbands Leonard Maure (1994) and Blake Hawkins (2018).
She will be lovingly remembered by many, including her children Deborah McLachlin (John), Michael Maure (Debbie) and stepchildren Jim Hawkins (Debbie) and Jeff Hawkins. She was blessed to have many grandchildren; Shawn McLachlin (Nicole), Scott McLachlin (Amber), Jessica Robinson (Daniel), Natalie Maure, and Steven McLachlin. As well as step-grandchildren Justin Hawkins (Laura) and Jordan. She cherished her great-grandson Raleigh McLachlin and a step-great-grandson Joel Hawkins.
Special thanks to Dr. Mayo, Dr. Sanatani, Nurse- Julie Garrett, C-K Hospice and all of the special people who provided exceptional care throughout her journey.
The family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON, on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Parish Prayers will be held Sunday at 3 p.m.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, 690 Tecumseh St., Dresden, ON, at 11 a.m., Celebrant Fr. Ray Lawhead and Co-Celebrant, Fr. John Betkowski.
Interment to follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Thamesville, ON.
