OBITUARY
Jeanette Patricia Carter
July 21, 1932 – December 26, 2018
With great sadness, her family announces that Pat passed away peacefully at home with family on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the age of 86.
Loving wife of Joe, together for 55 years. Loving mother of Dan Howlett (Patty), Peter Howlett (Eleanor Thompson Howlett), the Late Lorna Kerr and Patti Carter. Loving grandmother to Julie Moore (Sean), Lorne Howlett (Melissa Reindl), Jason Howlett (Courtney) and Paige Fleetwood (Kyle Johnson) and proud great grandmother to Katelyn, Hailey and Ryelyn Howlett and Grayson and Riley Moore. Pat will also be lovingly remembered by her sister Eileen Monkhouse, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is also predeceased by her brother Tom Johnson (Doreen).
Pat will be missed and remembered for the many contributions that she has made to the equestrian community. Her many accomplishments include the American Quarter Horse Lifetime Achievement Award, Ontario Quarter Horse Assoc. Hall of Fame in 1998, multiple AQHA Champions and an AQHA World Champion, WHAO Judge, Hamilton Mounted Police Unit Coach, OEF Icon Award recipient, and many other equine actives, offices and honours too numerous to name.
Visitation will take place at the T. Little Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Cambridge (519-623-1290) on Sunday, December 30th from 6 – 9 p.m. The Funeral Service to celebrate her life will take place in the T. Little Chapel on Monday, December 31, 2018 at noon. Burial at Ayr Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the AQHA Professional Horseman Crisis Fund (www.aqha.com/journal/resources/aqha-pro-horsemen/about-aqha-pro-horsemen/donate-now/)would be appreciated by the family.
