Jean spent some time teaching and then began a career in nursing at the Grace Maternity Hospital in Halifax. She moved to Lorneville, NS where she married Gerald, they farmed and raised their family. Jean was a member of UCW, Rebecca Lodge and Choirs in Lorneville and Dundee, Cape Breton. In 1971 Jean and Gerald moved their family to Dundee in Cape Breton where they enjoyed many trips up the Black River and made many wonderful friends. The last move took them to Truro, a central location. Jean especially enjoyed the many camping trips and bonfire singalongs. They also spent many winters in Florida enjoying the shrimping on the Indian River. Knitting Christmas Socks for the Grandchildren was also very important.
The beautiful smile, lovely and pleasant personality will be missed by all.
