Jean Blanche Loretta Belmore
Jean Blanche Loretta Belmore passed away peacefully on May 19, 2018 at the SJRH surrounded by her family. She was born on January 20, 1932 in Nova Scotia to the late Clyde and Mabel (Selige) Mailman.
Jean spent her career years working for an infirmary at an orphanage, Lepreau Ambulance for 12years, Centracare for 5 ½ years, Point Lepreau for 5 ½ years and lastly at Zellers.
She will be dearly missed by her sons; Russel of Dipper Harbour, Donald (Linda) of Chance Harbour and Ross of South Musquash, daughters; Betty Janes (Wayne) of Maces Bay, Linda Richard (Albert) of Saint John, Kathy Hewitt of Saint John, Sandra Muise (John) of Dipper Harbour, Debbie Breau (Michael) of Quispamsis, Sherry Melanson (Vernon) of Dipper Harbour, brother Leonard Thorbourne of Saint John, sisters in-law; Dorothy Belmore of Saint John, Ethel Hamilton of Fredericton and Helen Mailman of Nova Scotia, 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Jean is predeceased by her parents, husband Russell Neil Belmore, daughter Donna, grandson Raymond, brother Billy and sisters Muriel and Jane.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 23 from 2PM-4PM and 7PM-9PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 24th at 10AM in Castle Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Chance Harbour Cemetery. A reception will follow the burial at Dipper Harbour Fire Hall. Donations to New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
