Jean Alice Allen
ALLEN, Jean Alice – Passed away peacefully, after a courageous battle, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday December 26, 2018 at the age of 70. Beloved wife of William Jr. (Bill) for 50 years. Dearly loved mother of Charlene (Derek) Nickles, Christine (Michael) Halle and Kathryn (Matt) Catherwood. Proud and loving grandmother of Skyler, Reese, Nolan and Levi. Loving daughter of Charles Forrest (Scotland) and the late Millicent Forrest. Beloved daughter in law of the late Senga and William Sr. (Bill) Allen. Cherished sister of Charles (Christine) Forrest, Elaine (the late John) Dueck. Dear sister-in-law of Barry (Mary) Allen and Stephanie (Steve) Fournier. Jean will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. After spending the early part of her career in financial services, Jean retired after working in the offices of Dr. Michael Alexander for 25 years. Mum had a passion for the arts. These talents will forever live on in her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and nature. Mum will always be forever young. The family would like to thank Tanya, Lilya & Iran of ParaMed as well as the wonderful and caring staff at Hospice Niagara.
Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. At Jean’s request, a private family interment will take place. In memory of Jean, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Niagara.
