Peacefully passed away at Alexander Place on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at the age of 98. Loving wife of Martyn Heslop (predeceased, 1986). Beloved mother of Wayne and Glenna of Burlington and Bill of London, ON. Loved grandmother of Kris and Alain, Michael and Julie and great grandmother of Brianne, Cassie, Jacob, Karlee, Nicole and Ryan. Predeceased by her dear sister Margaret Fay and brother-in-law Charles. Lovingly remembered by her extended family of Gordon and Doreen Alton, Glenda Grosvenor and Marion Richardson. Loved by her nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by special nieces Marlene Hume and Marianne Kaufman. Janet was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and devoted member of the Jean Gordon Auxiliary. Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, December 28 from 4-7p.m. Private family interment at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Churchyard. In memory of Janet, donations to St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
