Death Notice
BIDDELL, Katherine ‘Jane’ (nee Brennan) – Peacefully with family by her side on April 23, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Jim Biddell. Loving mother to Cynthia Johnstone (David), Geoff and Kate (Ken Rempel). Proud Nana of Katie, Michelle and Ella Johnstone, Bridgette and Andrew Biddell and Jessie Rempel. Survived by her sister Patricia of St. George New Brunswick, her nephew and nieces. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Marie (nee Thompson) Brennan, sister Marie and brother Tim. Jane was born in Saint John New Brunswick on November 17, 1932 and grew up in Rothesay New Brunswick where her lifelong love of horses and tennis began. She remained very active in both sports as a successful competitor, judge and examiner. She attended Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax and upon graduation moved to Montreal where she met her future husband, Jim. She began her 40 year real estate career here. She was an active volunteer all her life, supporting arts and health care organizations, most recently dedicating her time to the McCormick Care Foundation. A memorial service will be held at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond, on Saturday April 28, 2018 at 2:30 o’clock, with visitation preceding from 1:30 – 2:30 pm. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Private family burial at Arva Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the McCormick Care Foundation or to St. Joseph’s Hospice would be appreciated.
