Obituary for Jan Zubek
On January 18, 2018, Jan Zubek of Edmonton passed away at the age of 87 years.
Jan is survived by his wife of 66 years, Maria; children, Kasia, Czeslawa “Cher” (Franzi) Grosschedl, and Jozef (Barb); seven grandchildren; Peter (Lupita), Elisabeth (Arthur), Dominic, Danny (Kerry), Robert, Anya (Craig), Richard (Rose Ann); twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Anna and Jozef; four sisters; and one brother.
He loved singing, laughter and working with wood. Jan had a passion for helping others and volunteered many hours with various charitable organizations.

Prayer Service Monday, January 22 at 8:00 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 11485 – 106 Street, Edmonton. Reverend Wladyslaw Karciarz OMI officiating with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Because of his love of children, donations may be made to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, #1502 College Plaza, 8215 – 112 Street, Edmonton, AB T6G 2C8
