Obituary for Jan Zarod
Jan Zarod, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully at the CKHA-Sydenham Campus on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the age of 77. Jan is the son of the late Wladysaw & Anastasja (Zawada) Zarod. Beloved husband of Anna (Zych). Loving father of Adam and Thomas. Dear brother of Zofia Zimoch and the late Stanistawa and Mieczystowa. Jan emigrated from Wola Zelichowska, Poland to Wallaceburg with his family in 1980 and worked as a welder at 5 Star Tool & Die for over 28 years. The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 6 – 8 PM on Monday. The Holy Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Church, 400 St Clair Street (north of Oxley) in Chatham on Tuesday, May 22 at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery. If desired, remembrances to Our Lady of Victory Church may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
