Obituary of James Ward
WARD, James Howard – Suddenly at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, November 3, 2018 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Marlene (nee Coates) for almost 50 years. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Violet (nee Green), and sister Barbara Walsh. Dear father to Patricia Livingstone (Ken), Jim Jr., Valerie (Mark Edwards) and Michelle (Brian Mosley). Cherished « Grampy » to Jason, Nicola (Joel Dundas), Samantha Dixon (Chris), Dylan and Brad (Nina). Greatly missed by his two beloved furbabies Brodie and Bella. Jim will be missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jim proudly served his country in the Royal Canadian Air Force and on the DEW Line on Baffin Island and loved to tell a good story about his time there. Jim was an avid bridge player and longtime member and manager of the Peterborough Bridge Club. Jim left an impression on everyone who knew him. Friends are invited to a Celebration of Jim’s Life on Friday November 9th, 2018 from 10:00-1:00 pm with words of remembrance at 11:00 am at the Ashburnham Funeral Home, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough. Donations to Salvation Army Peterborough in Jim’s name would be appreciated by the family.
