James Robert Curran (Jim)
1940 – 2018
It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Curran announces his sudden passing on October 24, 2018. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandpa/Poppa, Brother, Uncle and Friend. Jim will be forever remembered and loved by his wife and best friend of 58 years, Claudette (Paradis) and their children Kim, Bob, (Christine) Louise, (Brian) and his doting grandchildren, Paul, Annie, Nick, Matt, Cormac, Finley and Jack. He will be deeply missed by his sister Catherine,(Dan) his brother John (Catherine) and his many nieces and nephews. Jim is predeceased by his parents Peter and Rhona and his brother Peter. A native of Ottawa, he began his career with Canada Post in 1958. After his retirement, he enjoyed working for Bayshore Pharmacy as their part time courier up until this year. Jim lived his life with humour, optimism and being grateful for what he had each and every day! As per Jim’s wishes a private family service will be held at a later date. The family is deeply grateful to the Nurses, Doctor’s and team at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for their kind, professional, compassionate and respectful care. Donations in memory of Jim can be made to the Ottawa Mission or the charity of your choice. Arrangements are with Kelly Funeral Home Kanata location.
