James « Jim » Obergh
OBERGH- Jim (James) Leonard Obergh, aged 72 of Thunder Bay, passed away in Toronto on September 20, 2018 following complications from surgery. Born in Port Arthur on July 23, 1946 to Irvin and Evelyn Obergh, Jim worked as a press operator, spending most of his career at Lehto printers. An avid hunter and fisherman, Jim was at home on the lakes and in the woods of northern Ontario. He spent many happy days at his camp on Shebandowan, riding his quad, exploring the back roads in the area, and visiting with friends.
Jim is survived by his wife of 46 years, Thelma (nee Atkins) and son Cory, brothers and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son Wade Obergh, brother Robert (Bob) Obergh, sister Susan McDonald and parents Irvin and Evelyn Obergh.
A service to celebrate the of Jim Obergh will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Victor DeGagne presiding. The interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
