James Joseph « Jim » Demerah
1954-2018
James Joseph « Jim » Demerah – 64,
of Bridgetown, Annapolis County, passed away on Monday, October 22,
2018 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born on August 5,
1954 in Ottawa, Ontario, he was a son of the late James
« Jim » and Lillian (McCrank) Demerah. He had been
employed with Canada Post, from where he retired. He was an avid
shopper and enjoyed his trips to Costco. Jim never missed the news and
enjoyed chatting with family and friends on the phone. He loved his
cats and most recently had a special place in his heart for Billy. Jim
is survived by his wife, Cora Bezanson; three brothers, Peter (June),
Ottawa; Dan (Annemaree), Ottawa and Chris (Christine), Hampton,
Ontario, brother-in-law, Ron Lavigne, Renfrew, Ontario; many aunts,
uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he
was predeceased by a sister, Joyce Lavigne and a brother,
David. Cremation has taken place. There will be no
visitation or funeral service, by request. The family wishes to
express their sincere appreciation to Tanya, the nurses, doctors and
staff of Valley Regional Hospital – ICU for their care,
kindness and compassion. Donations in memory may be made to the Lung
Association. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the White
Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
