James « Jim » Richard Rutherford
Passed away peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Garden Street Site, on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. James Richard Rutherford, at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Brenda (Bond) Rutherford and dear father of Tammy McCrady and Susan Thomas (Jeff). Will be missed by his grandchildren Slater, Ginny, Sarah, and Jackson. Also survived by his brother George Rutherford (Janice), aunt Doris (Echlan) Rutherford, sister-in-law Doreen Walsh (Vern), brother-in-law Lorne Bond (the late Lynn), and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gertrude « Gert » (Chaplin) and Wilfred « Wardy » Rutherford.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James St. E., Brockville on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 6-8 pm and Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 am. A ceremony celebrating Jim’s life will be held in the chapel on Saturday at 10:30 am. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville and District Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully appreciated.
