Obituary Overview
Forever In Our Hearts
After a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis, James passed away peacefully with his sons and family by his side, listening to his favourite band AC/DC, which is truly the way he wanted it to be and the way it should have been.
He was predeceased by his father John in 2016; grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Justin and Mathew; mother Helen; sister Darla Jakubowski, her husband Paul and their children Josh (Amanda) and Ryan; sister Daneen Tiffany, her husband Michael and their children Michael Jr. and Kayla; his niece Kelsey Vail, her husband Mike and their son Chase; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends and his Wascana Rehab family, all of whom meant the world to James.
Despite the difficulties life had dealt James over the last 20 years, more specifically the last five years dealing with his disease, he felt very fortunate to be able to live in Wascana Rehabilitation Centre, making many new and close friends.
We would like to thank the many staff and friends for all the help you provided James, the compassion, kindness and patience you have shown James and his family, without a question. Thank you to Lynette and Jackson on Main 5, you both had a very special place in his heart and ours, and also thank you to every one of the staff at Wascana on Unit 3-3 and Main 5. We always knew that you all looked after James as if he were a part of your family, and we truly appreciate everything you have done for him over the last five years. We always knew he was in safe hands and were very comforted knowing this was true.
A CELEBRATION OF JAMES LIFE will be held at Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
