Death Notice
Unexpected after a very brief illness, Jack Russell passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of the late Gladys (January 4, 2018) for 66 years. Jack is survived by his children Larry (Debra) and Wayne (Maxine); grandchildren Carissa, Chantelle (Leslie Girard), Zachary, Nathan (Alicia Kerr) and Jacklyn; and great-granddaughter Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister Doris (the late Lewis) Wright, brother Ross (Carolyn) Russell, sisters-in-law Isabel (the late Alex) Greenhalgh and Margary (the late Colin) Robinson; brother-in-law Fred (Bev) Lindars; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his daughter Heather, parents Orvil and Ilene Russell and brother-in-law Norman (Marion) Lindars. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, with family and friends being received from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 216 or Diabetes Canada (cheques only at the funeral home please).
Visitation
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Service
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Smith Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Hillsdale Cemetery, Petrolia.
