Jack passed away peacefully on Christmas Day at the age of 95. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen in 2007. He is survived by his sons Doug, (Vicki) and David, grandchildren; Jennifer, Kevin, (Vanessa) and Michael and great grandchildren Ben, Jon and Kolton.
Jack served in the Army with the Seaforth Highlanders during World War Two. Upon returning home, he worked for the City of Vancouver in Permits and Licensing until his retirement in 1984. Papa Jack loved to have his family around whether it was to have dinner, to work in his garden or just for conversation. Jack had been in care at Brock Fahrni for the last four years where he received wonderful care from all the staff, especially during his final days. There will be no service as per his request. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Paul’s Foundation/Brock Fahrni in Jacks honour.
