Crawford, Ivy A., 91 passed away at the Mira Nursing Home in Truro on May 9, 2018 with her three children, Willie, Bev and Reta by her side. Ivy was born February 26, 1927 in Conquerall Mills to the late Willie & Mertie (Norman) Kaulbach. Our Mom was a very hard worker who never knew the word “tired”. Mom has strong faith in the Lord and was a big part of the church all her life whether it was being a choir member, Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent of Sunday School, Church Ladies Association and later years became a Deacon at the Wentworth Baptist Church. She is survived by son, Willie (Ruthann) Corkum and daughter, Bev (Frank) Organ both of Truro; daughters, Reta Roy and Ruby Oickle both of Bridgewater; sister, Daisy Beck; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kaulbach. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Ivan Crawford, Wentworth; and her first husband Lawson Corkum, Petite Riviere; brothers, Ernest Kaubach, Emery (Beulah) Kaulbach; sister, Minnie (Tom) Drennan; daughter, Joyce Emery; grandson, Robert Roy; granddaughters, Judy Oickle and Nancy Oickle. Our family will miss our strong, dependable and wise Mom who always had good advice and she was always there when we needed her. Funeral arrangements for Ivy have been entrusted into the care of MacDiarmid’s Funeral Home, Wentworth (902-447-2930). Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, May 12, followed by funeral service at 2 p.m., all in the in Wentworth Baptist Church.
