Ivan Ewanchuk
Ivan was born on January 19, 1923, the third child of 13 siblings to his parents Peter and Zanacaria of Gold Creek, Alberta. During his childhood, he lived in Big Bay near Lac La Biche. Later, his job took him from Lac La Biche to Vermillion, Edmonton, Vernon-BC and finally back to Edmonton where he retired. He was skilled in carpentry, plumbing, painting and repairing vehicles. He always loved to tinker at things. Ivan also liked to joke around and tease others, especially his children.
Left to cherish his loving memory is his wife of 71 years of marriage, Annette (nee Lemay), his son Larry (Sheila Currie), grandson Scott (Monique) Ewanchuk and granddaughter Zaina (Ryan) Denesik and daughter Doris (Lloyd Grams), granddaughters Carrie-Ann (Don) Minks and Stacy Reinhart and grandson Garrett Grams all of Edmonton. He also leaves behind three brothers and five sisters. He was predeceased by his son, David, three brothers and one sister as well as one brother-in-law and several great-grandchildren.
