It is with deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Irvin Jamieson, in his 83rd year, at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital, on Friday Aug 17, 2018.
Irvin was a long-time resident of Renfrew and was best known as the owner-operator of Jamieson Farm Equipment, a John Deere dealership, for 21 years.
Son of the late Lloyd and Muriel (Hanlan) Jamieson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ona (nee Kilgore). Dearest dad of Kim (Dennis) Yakaback, Allan (Tracey) Jamieson all of Renfrew and Blake Jamieson (Franziska Sierig) of Alberta. Loving « Framps » of Melissa (Dana) Balesdent, Cali (Tanner) Johnston, Mitchell (Julia) Jamieson, Connor (Breigh Whalen) Jamieson, Wyatt and Ethan Jamieson. Proud « Pup Pup » of 3 great-grandchildren: Isla and Nash Balesdent and Leo Johnston. He would have lovingly welcomed great-grandchild # 4 in October. Dear brother of Ken (Sandra) of Barrie and his aunt, Florence Nesbitt of Renfrew. Brother -in-law of Vernon (Nelly) Kilgore and Eunice Perneel Cooke of Arnprior.
He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours. Sincere thanks to his past physician, Dr. Kemp, and his current physician, Dr. J. Matosh, as well as the many wonderful and caring nurses on the 2nd floor at RVH, including Ann Marie Urbaitis and Andrew Ritchie. Family and friends may visit McPhail and Perkins Funeral Home, 85 Munro Avenue E., Renfrew on Thursday, Aug 23rd, 2018, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Irvin’s life will be held on Friday, Aug 24th, 2018, at 11 a.m. at McPhail & Perkins Funeral Home Chapel. Reception will follow at Elmwood Bible Chapel, 200 Francis St, Renfrew. Respecting Irvin’s wishes there will be a private burial for the immediate family at Rosebank Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
