Irmgard Maier
Maier, Irmgard – It is with profound sorrow that the family announce the peaceful passing of a wonderful mother, Nona to many and dear friend on May 7, 2018 at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River.
Dear mother of Karl Rom, Hannes Rom, Korin Maier (Art Cobbold) and Andrea Roy (Dave). Irmgard was also grandmother to Antonia Johnston (Matthew), Danielle Campbell (Mathew), Jennifer Roy, Leanna Roy and great grandmother to Brianna, Madison and Kayla. An active member of the community, she was also very involved in the church and was a devoted friend to all who were blessed to have known her. She will be missed by everyone.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 11:00 am from St. James Parish in Blind River. Memorial contributions to the Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
The family would like to take a moment to thank the wonderful staff at the North Shore Health Network in Blind River for the care given to Irmgard. A heartfelt thank you to her church community and to the friends who stopped in to visit and showed their support during this difficult time.
